FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHO DO I COMMUNICATE WITH IF MY CHILD IS GOING TO BE LATE OR ABSENT?

While we do require full attendance, we understand that students may be unwell or absent from classes from time to time. Student absences can be marked via our studio parent portal - Dance studio pro. Alternatively you can text or email the studio. It is important that each student is in attendance each week so they are making the most of their opportunity to grow and develop as performers. We do not offer make-up classes, credits or refunds for any missed classes.

WHAT IF WE MISS CLASSES DUE TO A PUBLIC HOLIDAY?

TBPA does not hold classes on any major public holidays, thus all public holidays are deducted from your annual fees prior to enrolment.

CAN I WATCH A CLASS AS A PARENT?

At TBPA, our classes operate privately - meaning that we do not allow parents or family members to watch. This enables children to develop their independence. Having family members in the class may serve as a distraction from their engagement with their teachers. We hold parent watching weeks mid year so that parents can experience their child’s learning in a classroom environment.

WHAT DOES TBPA EXPECT OF MY CHILD (AND PARENTS)?

The Base Performing Arts is a safe space for creative young performers to grow, explore and learn in a supportive environment. We expect students, parents and families to approach our studios with good behaviour - we do not tolerate any form of bullying, gossip or abuse. We ask all students and parents to familiarise themselves with our studio policy.
